more 'exciting thrilling' guitar...

... but in a different way
... and old

"The reason for the excitement is that the quartet have emerged at a point when British rock is sorely lacking in genuinely thrilling guitar bands" So the guardian quoted this today about the vaccines i do not know what tree they have been hiding under obviously the one that is marked major label. So here has been my exciting thrilling guitar band that all have songs under 3 minutes. Straight out of Dalston Male Bonding!

So just realised the other day its been seven years since Elliot Smith passed away which is sad and is also the same day my nan passed on, they obviously new something about that day. But anyway its this song that got me into Smith in the first place I remember watching the video on late night television while I was still at school and it always stuck in my head and takes me back to a particular moment. I also liked the video to at the time. So this is for you both.

....and then they walked into the sea by Talvihorros

Talvihorros is an experimental composer from London, exploring the possibilities of the guitar. His compositions venture into the fields of ambient, modern classical, drone, post-rock and folk but dont fall into the cliches associated with any of these genres.
Old and broken equipment and recording techniques are favoured over new and modern tools. Both acoustic and electric guitars are layered with organ, synthesizer, mandolin, radio frequencies and various percussion instruments to create dense collages of sound, sometimes melodic, sometimes challenging but always captivating.
Live Talvihorros performs solely with electric guitar and effects pedals.

Hello

Well hello this is the first blog from one half of the rhythm section from Inca Gold.
Bare with me while I get the hang of this blogging business and keep checking back for gig dates, videos, new songs and general thoughts that are going through my head. The first thought is what I used to think was the coolest bit of drumming when I was a teenager has now transpired into the most ridiculous drumming I have watched in a long time. Look closely even Jimi must if used this as a time to get his post gig dinner orderd.
